05/24/2026, 14:35A 100-day countdown to the start of the Sixth World Nomad Games has been launched in Kyrgyzstan. The Games will begin on 31 August – the country’s Independence Day.
The launch of the countdown was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Ulan Mamatkanov during a ceremony in Bishkek. According to him, the World Nomad Games have become not only a sporting event but also a symbol of the unification of nomadic cultures from around the world.
“Guests from all corners of the globe will hear the rapid roar of the kok-bor competitions, enjoy the sound of the komuz and experience the spirit of nomadic civilisation,” he noted.
The Cabinet emphasised that the remaining 100 days will be a crucial stage in preparations for the international event. The organisers intend to stage the Games to a high standard, as the project is seen as a matter of prestige for Kyrgyzstan on the world stage.
