Kyrgyzstan, landlocked, relies on hydropower - head of the Cabinet of Ministers

Kyrgyzstan, being landlocked, relies on increasing its hydropower potential, transit opportunities and digitalisation of public administration, said the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev at the World Government Summit in Dubai.

Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that Kyrgyzstan, being in the heart of Central Asia, is actively developing hydropower projects such as Kambarata HPP-1, which will produce 5.6 billion kWh of electricity annually. Also a key project is the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, which will be an important strategic bridge linking East and West.

In addition, attention is being paid to the digital transformation of public administration, which will improve the quality of public services and reduce bureaucracy. The application of artificial intelligence and big data analysis will open up new opportunities for effective decision-making.

In conclusion, Kasymaliev emphasised that global influence no longer depends on territorial resources, but is determined by the creation of technologies and platforms, which opens up new opportunities for small countries like Kyrgyzstan on the world stage.
