11/01/2025, 13:54In the first nine months of this year, Kyrgyzkumur produced 655,300 tonnes of coal. It also produced 6.8 million cubic metres of overburden. Six deposits are currently in operation, four of which are operating at full capacity.
To ensure the population has fuel for the winter, agreements have been concluded with 126 trading bases, where coal is sold at reduced prices. This will support socially vulnerable groups and reduce the burden on public utilities.
The Ministry of Energy notes that in the coming years, the priority will be to transition to modern mining technologies and fuel consumption accounting in order to reduce costs and improve the environment.
