02/17/2025, 13:22The Working Group of the Kyrgyz Republic on Industry, headed by Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Iskender Asylkulov, held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey. The Turkish delegation was headed by Deputy Minister Muhammet Kasım Genullu.
The main topic of discussion was cooperation in the industrial sector. During the meeting Iskender Asylkulov raised the issue of opening an industrial zone in Chui oblast of the Kyrgyz Republic. In response, Turkish colleagues agreed to pay a working visit to Kyrgyzstan in April 2025 to familiarise themselves with the proposed land plot for the construction of the industrial zone.
On the same day, Iskender Asylkulov met with representatives of the Ankara Jewellers and Watchmakers Association in the building of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce. During the meeting, the Head of the Industry Department Arslan Baziev made a presentation to Turkish jewellery companies with the aim of attracting Turkish technologies to the sphere of jewellery production in Kyrgyzstan.
