The pharmaceutical industry stood out in particular, with drug production increasing 2.2 times. Food and tobacco products (+44.4%) as well as wood, paper and printing products (+32.9%) showed significant growth. The plastics, construction materials (+32.2%) and chemical products (+22.8%) segments also grew actively.
However, there were some weak spots: the production of base metals and metal products decreased by 1.2%. Analysts attribute this to unstable external market conditions and rising energy costs. Nevertheless, industry remains a key driver of GDP growth, contributing 1.93 percentage points.
