Potholes formed by mudflows are being eliminated on the Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart highway

In the Kemin district of the Chui region, on the Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart highway, employees of the Department of Emergency Management No. 32 of the Ministry of Transport are filling in potholes that formed on the side of the road. The craters were formed as a result of mudflows in the autumn-winter period.

To ensure uninterrupted traffic flow and road safety, repair and restoration work is also being carried out on the Zhol—Cholok—Boom highway section.

Department of Emergency Management No. 32 is also strengthening the side of the road by concreting and reinforcing the slope. After concreting is completed, asphalt will be laid on this section and special trays will be installed to drain melt and flood waters. In this regard, concrete barriers are being installed here for safety purposes.

In the Kara-Suu district of the Osh region, on the Ak-Terek-Papan-Kozhoklen highway, employees of the Department of Environmental Protection No. 21 are leveling a section of the road with anti-slip material.
