Agricultural land was illegally leased in the Jalal-Abad region

The Regional Administration for the Jalal-Abad Region of the Land and Water Supervision Service conducted an inspection in the territory of the Ergesh Aliyev and Sakaldy Nooken districts.

The inspection revealed that a number of agricultural land plots had been illegally leased to private individuals for a period of 49 years.

The former heads of the ayil aymaks, without obtaining the conclusions of the authorised state bodies, registered these plots as ‘unsuitable for agriculture’ and leased them in violation of the requirements of the law. Meanwhile, the results of the on-site inspection confirmed that these lands are fully suitable for agricultural activities.

As a result of explanatory work, the tenants, realising that they had obtained plots with a total area of 3.10 hectares in violation of the law, voluntarily returned them to state ownership.

This work is being carried out with the aim of ensuring the lawful use of agricultural land and compliance with the requirements of land legislation.

The Land and Water Supervision Service reports that such measures will be carried out on a systematic basis.
