10/06/2025, 08:47The week was relatively calm on Kyrgyzstan's interbank currency market, with the dollar exchange rate holding steady at 87.45 KGS despite fluctuations in trading volumes.
The highest activity was observed at the beginning of the week: on 1 October, the volume of transactions exceeded $52 million, after which market participants reduced their activity by almost half. If we sum up all transactions for the week (from 29 September to 3 October), the total trading volume on the interbank market amounted to $85.1 million.
The dollar exchange rate remained stable, with fluctuations within 0.05 KGS having no significant impact on the overall trend. Market participants note that demand for currency remains moderate, with banks and businesses continuing to take a wait-and-see approach.
It should be recalled that on 1 October, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan carried out a currency intervention to support the stability of the KGS and smooth out possible fluctuations.
