10/03/2024, 14:45According to the veterinary service, 101 abattoirs are registered in the Register, of which 10 belong to large standard abattoirs, 64 to small abattoirs and 27 to ordinary abattoirs.
The activity of 15 slaughterhouses was temporarily suspended due to non-compliance with veterinary and sanitary requirements. Also, 10 slaughterhouses are registered in the Unified Register of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
To address the shortage of slaughterhouses in some districts and cities, the veterinary service was instructed to build new slaughterhouses. Thanks to cooperation with local authorities, 12 new abattoirs were built.
