A meeting between the chairman of the Kyrgyz Republic's Cabinet of Ministers and the president of the Asian Development Bank, Zhou Jia, took place in Bishkek, resulting in the signing of an agreement.

The Prime Minister congratulated Zhou Ji on his appointment and expressed confidence that the meeting would give additional impetus to the expansion of bilateral cooperation. He noted that thanks to effective financial, fiscal, and monetary policies, the Kyrgyz economy is showing steady growth: over the past four years, the average rate of economic development has been 10.2%.

Adylbek Kasymaliyev emphasized that in 2025, 12 reforms were successfully implemented as part of the Government Accelerators program, which were highly praised by the international community at the World Government Summit in Dubai.

During the talks, the parties discussed priority infrastructure projects, including the construction of the Kambar-Ata HPP-1 and the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. Special attention was paid to the establishment of a credit line between the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and Kyrgyz state banks to finance priority areas such as agriculture, energy, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises.

In turn, Zhou Ji expressed satisfaction with the country's economic growth dynamics and confirmed the bank's readiness to further develop cooperation.

Following the meeting, an agreement was signed between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank on the project “Development of a sustainable financial market for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Kyrgyz Republic.”
