During his working visit to Uzbekistan, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev met with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the sidelines of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum.

During the talks, Kasymaliev conveyed warm greetings from Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov to the Uzbek leader and emphasized that developing a comprehensive strategic partnership and strengthening good-neighborly relations with Uzbekistan remain among the key priorities of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy.

The parties expressed their confidence that the Tashkent International Investment Forum serves as an important platform for developing investment cooperation, establishing contacts between the business community and international partners, as well as promoting joint economic initiatives and ensuring sustainable development in Central Asia.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of joint projects in the areas of trade, investment, energy, culture, and humanitarian ties. In addition, discussions focused on expanding interregional cooperation and implementing previously reached agreements, as set forth in the relevant roadmaps.

The participants also noted that a number of high-level events, bilateral meetings, and multilateral events involving Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan are planned before the end of this year. Following these events, several new agreements are expected to be signed.

As part of his visit, Adylbek Kasymaliev also visited the Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan International Exhibition Center—one of the largest modern exhibition venues in Central Asia. The Kyrgyz delegation was briefed on the center’s capabilities, which encompass nine key sectors, including agriculture, energy, mechanical engineering, artificial intelligence, and information technology.

The CAEx business space covers more than 40,000 square meters. The venue is designed to host international exhibitions and B2B meetings, foster the development of creative industries, and strengthen cooperation in the fields of business, science, culture, and technology.

As a reminder, Adylbek Kasymaliev arrived in Tashkent on June 16. He was greeted at Khumo International Airport by Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Achilbay Ramatov and other officials.
