‘Kyrgyzstan Airports’ generated more than 4.9 billion KGS over nine months

According to preliminary figures for the first nine months of 2026, the consolidated net profit of OJSC ‘Airports of Kyrgyzstan’ exceeded 4.9 billion KGS. Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, announced this at an event marking the 93rd anniversary of civil aviation in Kyrgyzstan.

At the same time, more than 9.8 billion KGS were invested in the development of airport infrastructure.

“Today, Kyrgyzstan’s airports are developing steadily under the ‘open skies’ regime and are demonstrating their ability to ensure further growth and profitability,” said Kasymaliev.

According to him, these figures indicate that the state-owned company is capable of financing the sector’s development using its own resources.

By way of comparison, at the end of the first half of 2026, the net profit of OJSC ‘Airports of Kyrgyzstan’ stood at 2.66 billion KGS, compared with 2.46 billion KGS a year earlier. Capital expenditure over the six-month period reached 7.19 billion KGS and rose by almost 80 per cent year-on-year.

Meanwhile, the company’s previously approved budget for the whole of 2026 had forecast a net profit of around 3.29 billion KGS. If the preliminary nine-month results are confirmed in the financial statements, the company has already exceeded its annual target by approximately 49 per cent.

Kasymaliev also linked the financial results to the ongoing modernisation of the airports.

“Over 9.8 billion KGS has been invested in the development of airport infrastructure. These figures are important evidence of the effective management of a state-owned company and the sector’s ability to develop using its own resources,” he said.

“Airports of Kyrgyzstan” comprises 11 airports — six international and five regional.
