12/22/2024, 09:03Chinese corporation Alibaba, which owns the global marketplace AliExpress, will officially register in Kazakhstan as a taxpayer.
This decision was reached during negotiations between representatives of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan and the management of Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group, the committee said.
The meeting discussed taxation issues in the digital economy, including recent changes in Kazakhstan's legislation aimed at the development of e-commerce.
“During the meeting, the KDG and Alibaba International discussed the development of international taxation in the digital economy, as well as recent changes in legislation and tax administration in the field of e-commerce in Kazakhstan. As a result of the meeting, it was decided to put Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group on conditional registration as a VAT payer”, - reported in the CGD of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.
