09/25/2026, 10:30Kyrgyzstan’s gross domestic product grew from approximately $8.3 billion in 2020 to more than $22.6 billion by the end of 2025. This was stated by Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev at an international conference marking the 10th anniversary of OJSC “Guarantee Fund.”
According to him, the average annual economic growth rate over the past four years was 10.2%.
“A nearly threefold increase in the economy over five years means that the scale of the challenges facing the financial system has also changed,” Amangeldiev noted.
He emphasized that, against the backdrop of economic growth, the number of enterprises and investment projects is increasing, and businesses require more funds not only to maintain their current operations but also to modernize, expand production, enter new markets, and adopt modern technologies.
According to the minister, under these conditions, the role of guarantee mechanisms is increasing, as the financial system’s task is no longer merely to provide entrepreneurs with loans, but also to expand businesses’ access to larger, long-term, and affordable financing.
Amangeldiev also reported that over the past five years, tax revenues have increased approximately fourfold, while customs revenues have increased sixfold.
The volume of consolidated budget resources increased from 313 billion KGS in 2021 to 1.1 trillion KGS by the end of 2025.
“Economic growth is continuing this year as well,” the minister noted.
