Baketaev proposed that KfW resume financial cooperation within the framework of the National Development Program

During his working trip to Frankfurt am Main on December 9, Finance Minister Almaz Baketaev met with Christian Leibach, member of the KfW Executive Board.

During the discussion, Baketaev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is seeking a strategic partnership with the German development bank, linking further cooperation with key areas of the country's long-term development.

“The Kyrgyz Republic is open to cooperation and ready to implement joint projects with KfW. We propose to resume the financial cooperation program, focusing on the areas reflected in the National Development Program of Kyrgyzstan until 2030,” the minister said.

The parties also discussed promising projects in the fields of green energy, infrastructure, tourism, agriculture, and human capital development.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to form a working group to develop detailed proposals and further study projects that could receive KfW support in the coming years.
