Bakyt Torobaev has held a meeting on the development of environmentally friendly paper bag production

The Minister of Water Resources Bakyt Torobaev has conducted a field meeting at the base of KIRLand company - a well-known manufacturer of paper bags in Kyrgyzstan.

The event was attended by relevant ministry and company leaders involved in production and environmental protection.

KIRLand, founded in 1995, is one of the republic's largest offset printing production enterprises. From 2019, the company structure includes KIR Pack, which has a total production and storage area of 1 thousand square metres. This facility has all the conditions for environmentally friendly products, in particular, paper bags with high-quality images produced using an ink metering system.

During the meeting, it was noted that the production capacity allows to produce up to 30 thousand packages per shift, and it is planned to increase the volume up to 40 thousand pieces. The production covers the creation of paper bags of various formats and sizes, complying with current environmental standards.

The state actively supports enterprises producing environmentally friendly products. Within the framework of the state programme, a gradual transition from plastic products, which are harmful to the environment and health, to safe paper alternatives is being carried out. This course was set by President Sadyr Zhaparov, who also issued a decree to protect the ecology of Issyk-Kul, which has become an example of the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies throughout the country.

As a result of the meeting, decisions were made to increase the production of high-quality kraft bags and to provide comprehensive assistance to the company in acquiring the necessary additional equipment, which will significantly increase the production of environmentally friendly goods in Kyrgyzstan.
