11/03/2024, 16:21On the eve of the summits of the Council of Heads of State and the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS), which will be held in Bishkek on 6 November, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, had an important meeting with the Secretary General of the OTS, Kubanychbek Omuraliev.
During the meeting, Omuraliev briefed the Kyrgyz Foreign Minister on the preparations for the upcoming meetings, including the progress of drafting documents scheduled for signing and adoption. Organisational aspects of the summits were also discussed.
Minister Kulubaev emphasised the importance of quality preparation of the content of the events and called for early agreement of draft documents between the OTS member states.
Special attention was paid to the forthcoming chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Organisation. The parties exchanged views on this issue and discussed the plan of activities within the framework of the chairmanship.
The meeting ended with the confirmation of mutual readiness for further cooperation for the effective implementation of the tasks of the OTS. It is expected the summits in Bishkek will become an important milestone in the Organisation's development and strengthening of cooperation between the Turkic-speaking states.
