02/13/2025, 09:30The mayor's office reported that in Bishkek, as part of a pilot project, they are evaluating the effectiveness of installing catalytic converters on vehicles. Currently, as part of the experiment, catalytic converters have been installed on four vehicles.
It should be noted that the service life of the catalytic converters depends on the vehicle's mileage or is determined by external factors.
It is currently impossible to talk about the quality of the catalytic converters provided, since the equipment is being tested. After the experiment is completed, it will be possible to draw more accurate conclusions about their effectiveness.
Specialists from the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision check cars with a gas analyzer before and after installing catalytic converters to evaluate the impact of these devices on emissions.
The mayor's office also noted that the pilot project is being implemented as part of measures to improve the environmental situation and reduce air pollution in the capital.
