07/07/2026, 10:59In Bishkek, during the first six days following the launch of the transfer fare system on municipal public transport, passengers made 56,817 free transfers. This was reported by the capital’s city council.
The new system allows passengers to transfer between municipal bus routes free of charge within 60 minutes of their first journey, provided that the fare was paid by card.
According to the municipality, the high level of usage of the new service demonstrates its popularity among the city’s residents. The transfer fare scheme is designed to make journeys more convenient, reduce passengers’ transport costs and improve the efficiency of public transport use.
