More than 650 schools in the country are implementing inclusive practices, covering 18,500 children

Today, there are 2,394 schools and 1,997 kindergartens in the country, providing education and upbringing to more than 1.5 million children. Of these, 29,728 children are registered in the education system as children with disabilities.

The principle of inclusive education is officially enshrined in the state education standard. A new model regulation on the psychological, medical and pedagogical commission has been adopted, defining clear mechanisms for diagnosis and support.

Various forms of education have been introduced: the Tunguch online school, family-based education, residential (boarding) and individual home-based education provide alternatives for children with disabilities.

More than 650 schools are implementing inclusive practices, covering more than 18,500 children.

The Twinning and Smart-ED projects, as well as the training of 100 teachers in Moscow, have contributed to improving the skills of teachers and the development of inclusive schools.

The ministry also notes that Kyrgyzstan has established an important legal and programmatic framework for inclusive education. Active reforms are helping to ensure equal opportunities for children with disabilities, including through residential, family-based and online education.
