Kyrgyzstan's budget incurred exchange rate losses amounting to tens of millions of KGS

According to data from the Ministry of Finance, Kyrgyzstan's state budget incurred an exchange rate loss in the first nine months of the year. This contrasts with the same period last year, when a profit was recorded under the same budget item.

The exchange rate difference reflects the impact of currency exchange rate changes on budget revenues and expenditures. This year, the budget incurred an exchange rate loss of 123.6 million KGS.

In 2024, on the contrary, favourable dynamics in the currency market ensured a positive exchange rate effect. As a result, the budget earned 1.4 million KGS on the exchange rate.
