Kyrgyzstan’s budget has exceeded 1 trillion KGS: the president has set out the objectives of the audit

The Kyrgyzstan Chamber of Accounts marked the 30th anniversary of its establishment. Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev attended the ceremony at the ‘Ala-Archa’ state residence on 19 October, where he read out a message of congratulations from President Sadyr Zhaparov.

In his message, the Head of State emphasised that Kyrgyzstan’s consolidated budget had exceeded 1 trillion KGS, which increases the responsibility for the effective use of public funds. The main objective of the audit is to ensure that every KGS allocated benefits the citizens.

The President also highlighted the need to move towards a new level of public audit: not only to identify irregularities after they have occurred, but also to anticipate financial risks in advance. Particular attention was paid to the independence of the Chamber of Accounts, the objectivity of the auditors and the practical implementation of their recommendations.
