    Trilateral Meeting Held with Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan Prime Ministers

    An important trilateral meeting was held in Batken oblast of Kyrgyzstan at the junction of the borders with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. It was attended by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda.

    The meeting was organised within the framework of previously reached agreements on delimitation of state borders between the countries, which were agreed upon by the presidents of the three states.

    During the meeting, the importance of strengthening regional integration and expanding cooperation in such areas as trade, logistics, water and energy and culture was emphasised. The government leaders noted the importance of cross-border and inter-regional co-operation for enhancing common progress. In particular, they finalised the delimitation of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and exchanged instruments of ratification on this issue.

    They paid special attention to the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, discussing the agreement of 4 December 2024 and the need to complete the process of describing the remaining sections. The working groups were instructed to promptly prepare the final documents. In conclusion, the participants of the meeting expressed confidence that the negotiations will have a long-term positive impact on the development of the region and improvement of relations between the neighbouring countries.
