Daniyar Amangeldiev discussed digitalisation and the ‘School of Mayors’ for Kyrgyzstan

First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev took part in the first International Congress on Public Administration, which is being held in Moscow at the Presidential Academy.

The forum brought together more than 2,000 representatives of government bodies, including foreign delegations. The agenda focused on practical tools for improving the efficiency of the state apparatus, digital transformation and the development of management competencies.

During the plenary discussion, Amangeldiev noted the significance of the Russian model of public administration and emphasised that Kyrgyzstan is using Russian experience in implementing its own reforms. The country has introduced e-government, is continuing to digitise public services, and is implementing a joint programme with the Academy called the School of Mayors, aimed at improving the qualifications of municipal leaders.

Special attention was paid to the development of educational cooperation. At a meeting with the rector of the Presidential Academy, the parties discussed the launch of the second stream of the ‘School of Mayors,’ the organisation of internships for Kyrgyz civil servants, and the expansion of joint programmes for training managers.

Currently, 89 students from Kyrgyzstan are studying at the Academy. There are seven cooperation agreements between the parties in the field of training personnel for the public administration system.
