The KR delegation discussed cooperation on the Smart City system with the Mayor of Sihin, Korea

A Kyrgyz delegation comprising representatives from the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Emergency Situations visited South Korea to launch a new project on climate resilience in Central Asia. The project includes an investment of $10.7 million and is supported by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI).

During the visit, the delegation studied Korea's experience in disaster and water management and held talks with the mayor of Sihin on collaboration in the introduction of a ‘Smart City’ system. Deputy Minister Sanzhar Bolotov and GGGI head Sang Hep Kim agreed on further cooperation in ecology and critical minerals development.

Bolotov also invited GGGI to take part in the projects to develop hydroelectric power plants and plant trees as part of the Jashyl Muras initiative aimed at improving the environmental situation in Kyrgyzstan.
