03/05/2026, 10:50Deputy Dastan Bekeshev proposed financing nationwide testing from the state budget. He made this proposal on March 5 at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.
According to the parliamentarian, the cost of testing is becoming a serious burden for low-income families.
He noted that the cost of participating in the basic and subject tests of the ORT has risen to 470 KGS, which creates additional financial difficulties for some families. In addition, many parents pay for preparatory courses for their children, which increases expenses and adds to the stress before exams.
According to Bekeshev, in a number of countries, university entrance exams are funded by the state.
“In the CIS countries, Europe, and the US, the tests are paid for by the state. Parents there do not pay. Now our budget has grown, so we need to carry out reforms. Why not allocate funds for this area? Let's start financing the ORT from the state budget this year. This is necessary for the country,” said the deputy.
