Two checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Chinese border will be temporarily closed

The State Border Service of the National Security Committee reports that due to the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) celebrations, the checkpoints located on the Kyrgyz-Chinese section of the state border will be temporarily closed.

Irkeshtam Road Checkpoint — from 8:00 p.m. on February 15, 2026, to February 19, 2026;
Torugart Road Checkpoint — from February 17 to February 20, 2026.

The passage of persons, vehicles, and cargo will resume:

through the Irkeshtam Road Checkpoint — on February 19, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.;
through the Torugart Road Checkpoint — on February 20, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.

The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security asks citizens and participants in foreign economic activity to take this information into account when planning to cross the state border.
