Bahrain has expressed interest in cooperating with the EDB

On 9 September, a delegation from the Eurasian Development Bank, led by Chairman Nikolay Podguzov, visited Bahrain and held a series of meetings with the leadership of key state and financial institutions in the country.

The talks were attended by representatives of the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, the Ministry of Sustainable Development, the Central Bank, the Sovereign Fund and the Bahrain Stock Exchange. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in finance, logistics, telecommunications, digitalisation and other areas of mutual interest.

Bahrain's Minister of Finance and National Economy, Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, noted that the Kingdom is interested in strengthening partnerships with regional and international financial institutions, as this expands the country's opportunities as a regional and international financial centre.
