EAEU and China have signed the Memorandum of Business Cooperation

Vladimir Serpikov, Director of the Trade Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission, attended the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the EAEU Business Council and the China Committee for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). 

The event was held at the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE). The RUIE President Alexander Shokhin and CCITC Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang signed the document.
The signed Memorandum is designed to strengthen interaction between the business communities of the EAEU countries and the People's Republic of China. It envisages the exchange of business visits and information on trade and investment opportunities. The EAEU-China business dialogue will also be created to become a platform for the agreements' implementation.

According to Vladimir Serpikov, deepening trade and economic relations with China is a priority of the EAEU foreign trade policy. In 2023, the trade turnover volume with China increased by 25%, reaching a record high. It is expected, that the measures taken under the Memorandum continue to stimulate the growth of trade and business ties.
