02/13/2026, 17:46The final meeting of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic was held in the Naryn region, with Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baysalov taking part.
The meeting summarised the results of the region's socio-economic development, noting that industrial production increased 2.5 times in 2025. The launch of a new enterprise at the Solton-Sary gold deposit made a significant contribution to the growth of these indicators. It was emphasised that the Naryn region has entered a new stage of development, with major national infrastructure projects being implemented in the region.
In particular, construction of a transcontinental railway has begun, and the Balykchy-Kochkor railway line is being laid with plans for further extension. Construction has also begun on a new motorway along the Torugart-Kazarman route, which should significantly reduce transport times and increase the region's logistical efficiency. Hundreds of kilometres of motorways are to be asphalted and a modern transport infrastructure is to be created.
Speaking at the meeting, Edil Baysalov emphasised the strategic importance of the Naryn region for the future of the country. He noted that thanks to the new highways being built on the initiative of President Sadyr Zhaparov, new opportunities are opening up for the development of rich reserves of coal, iron ore, bauxite, rare earth elements and other minerals in the Tenir-Too mountains. The task has also been set to ensure the systematic development of these resources and the formation of the largest enterprises in the region.
‘In the coming years, the Naryn region will become one of the key industrial centres of Kyrgyzstan and one of the most dynamically developing regions of the country,’ he concluded. Following the meeting, priority areas for socio-economic development were identified and specific instructions were given to the heads of state and local authorities.
