Air Astana has amended the Airbus A320neo engine maintenance deal

As a result of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Air Astana held on November 15, an important adjustment to the terms of a major transaction related to the maintenance of engines for Airbus A320neo family aircraft was adopted.

According to the new decisions, the company agreed to transfer part of the rights and obligations under the agreement with the service provider International Aero Engines, LLC. The key point of the transaction is the transfer of part of the rights and obligations from Air Astana to its subsidiary FlyArystan, which will assume part of the responsibility within the framework of the fleet management program.

Thus, Air Astana and FlyArystan will be jointly and severally liable under this transaction. Notwithstanding the changes, the terms of the transaction, including the total amount and key provisions, will remain unchanged.

In addition, in accordance with the decision of shareholders, the powers to implement the transaction were transferred to the Chief Executive Officer of Air Astana JSC. This decision is designed to ensure speed in the implementation of this important stage in the company's fleet management strategy.
