This has enabled Kyrgyz entrepreneurs to access loans totaling more than KGS 38 billion. The guarantee mechanism has proved to be a key solution for businesses that do not have sufficient collateral, especially in regions where almost 89% of all guarantees are issued.
Since its establishment in 2016, the fund has grown from an initial capital of KGS 72 million to its current volume of KGS 6.6 billion. Initial financial support was provided by the Asian Development Bank, which granted a US$3 million grant. Today, the fund works with 27 financial partners, including banks, microfinance institutions, and international funds.
Most of the guarantees are directed to priority sectors of the economy—agriculture, processing, industry, mortgages, and tourism. Significant attention is paid to women's entrepreneurship: 4,497 guarantees have been issued to women-led businesses for more than KGS 3.5 billion.
