SMC to provide Shariah-standards mortgage loans

GIC will provide mortgage loans under Shariah standards. This was announced today by Deputy Head of the State Mortgage Company Nuradil Bayasov during a Jogorku Kenesh meeting.

In particular, loans will be issued in three areas: istisna, murabaha and ijara.

"The Islamic Development Bank, which provided money based on internal principles, put forward such a proposal. Now the relevant work is being done for introduction,’ he said.
