The State Committee for National Security returned 795 hectares of agricultural land in the Chui region to the state

The State Committee for National Security continues its work to return illegally granted land. As part of these measures, 795 hectares of agricultural land in the Sokuluk district of the Chui region have been returned to the state.

According to open sources, this is more than 100 times the size of Panfilov Park in Bishkek (7.7 hectares).

According to the SCNS, in the early 2000s, as part of the so-called “systematic registration,” the land was transferred to the Zhany-Pakhtinsky aiyl okmotu for distribution among shareholders. However, in reality, the plots were not registered and remained in a “suspended” state.

Despite the lack of legal grounds, local authorities leased these lands to local residents for twenty years without official registration and without revenue to the budget.

Following the measures taken, the plots were officially transferred to the balance sheet of the Zhana-Pakhtinsky aiyl okmotu. Currently, the GKNB is conducting investigative activities, including a legal assessment of the actions of officials who committed violations, as well as the identification of other persons involved in similar incidents.
