Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov Meets President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari

During a working visit to Islamabad (Islamic Republic of Pakistan), the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Head of the Presidential Administration, Akylbek Japarov, met with the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari. During the meeting, Akylbek Japarov emphasized that Pakistan holds a special place in Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy. "We are highly interested in developing trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian, and scientific-technical cooperation with your country," he noted. Akylbek Japarov further highlighted that the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan actively cooperate within international organizations such as the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Economic Cooperation Organization. During the meeting, both parties discussed issues of trade and economic collaboration and exchanged views on further advancing investments, energy, transport, and cultural-humanitarian interaction.
