08/14/2025, 15:13Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev held a meeting with Afghanistan's Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Nuruddin Aziz.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that the Kyrgyz side supports the efforts of the current Afghan authorities to achieve economic recovery and strengthen peace and stability in Afghanistan.
The Kyrgyz Republic, for its part, is actively working on key issues of Afghanistan's development agenda, participating in the implementation of international and regional programmes, as well as in regional forums that contribute to the settlement of the situation and the further development of Afghanistan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of developing mutually beneficial cooperation in the areas of trade, transport, the textile industry, energy, education and healthcare. They also touched upon new transit routes to strengthen regional connectivity and the economies of Central Asian countries.
Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev expressed the Kyrgyz side's readiness to support initiatives aimed at developing bilateral Kyrgyz-Afghan cooperation, as well as regional partnership with Afghanistan.
The head of the cabinet noted that the two countries have great potential in the trade and economic sphere, especially in the areas of transport, energy, agriculture and light industry.
In turn, Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan Nuroddin Azizi expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and conveyed greetings on behalf of Acting Prime Minister of Afghanistan Mohammad Hassan Akhund.
Nurodin Azizi expressed the Afghan side's readiness to further develop and strengthen cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in areas of mutual interest.
