    The heads of government of the EAEU countries have supplemented the transport policy roadmap

    The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council has supplemented the roadmap for transport policy for the next three years with measures to develop human resources.

    Thus, three more measures have been included in the Action Plan (roadmap) for the implementation of the Main Directions and Stages of the Coordinated Transport Policy of the EAEU Member States for 2024-2026, agreed on 1 October 2024:

    • monitoring of best practices in human resource development in the transport sector of member states, including the recruitment and training of workers;
    • monitoring the application by member states of the qualification requirements set out in Recommendation No. 31 of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission of 14 November 2023 ‘On qualification requirements for the most sought-after professions in the field of road transport’;
    • preparing proposals on qualification requirements for the most sought-after professions in the transport sector, with the exception of requirements in the field of civil aviation.

    The roadmap aims to deepen integration processes in the transport sector, form a single transport space and a common market for transport services.

    The new points of the roadmap will serve to create conditions for the rational use of highly skilled specialists, harmonise professional and qualification requirements for them, and develop competitive centres that provide training and advanced training for personnel.
