It is proposed to allocate 917 million KGS from the budget for the construction, which is one of the significant items of expenditure for the agency for the coming year.
The project was launched on 7 June 2024, when a ceremonial capsule was laid in the capital. The then Prime Minister, Akylbek Zhaparov, now former, emphasised that the tax authorities should have a modern building that meets new challenges.
Indeed, the future complex promises to be one of the most unusual buildings in the capital. Seven floors, more than 21,000 square metres, modern architecture, and most importantly, a C-shaped design. This letter can be interpreted in several ways: it is a symbol of the national currency, the som, the first letter of the word ‘Salyik’ (tax), and at the same time, it represents a stack of coins as a sign of stability and strength.
The building will house the central office of the State Tax Service, analytical and situation centres, as well as a data centre. For entrepreneurs, a taxpayer service centre will operate on the first floor, and in addition to offices, the project includes co-working spaces, a State Tax Service museum, IT technology rooms, conference rooms, a canteen, a press centre, and underground parking.
In addition, 820.2 million KGS have been allocated to the tax service to pay bonuses for complexity, quality and results of work. Another 56.6 million KGS will be allocated for the overhaul and repurposing of the ‘Single Window’ buildings and State Tax Service departments in the Sokuluk, Talas, and Ala-Buka districts, as well as in the cities of Osh, Kara-Kul, Tash-Kumyr, and Kemin. An additional 27.3 million KGS will be allocated for the purchase of computers, printers and tablets in connection with the increase in staff.
