STS Deputy Chairman Azat Almanbetov explained the project's goals and requirements to the participants. He stated that the implementation of the fiscal software is an important step toward digitalizing the country's tax system.
"Fiscal software creates a favorable business environment for entrepreneurs by reducing the tax burden, reducing the volume of reporting, and eliminating the need to purchase cash registers or other additional equipment," Almanbetov noted.
He emphasized that the implementation of the system will improve the efficiency of tax administration and reduce the scale of the shadow economy.
During the meeting, representatives of the food service industry identified a number of practical challenges related to business processes and the specifics of the industry, and proposed options for optimizing the system.
The Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Service listened to the participants' positions, reviewed the proposals, and explained that all issues had been taken into account for further analysis and the development of the most effective solutions.
As a reminder, the State Tax Service launched a pilot project to implement fiscal software in the food service industry on September 1, 2025. Subsequently, starting October 1 of this year, the project will be extended to the hotel industry, and starting February 1, 2026, to gas stations.
Fiscal software is a taxpayer's internal accounting system designed to automate tax accounting, bookkeeping, and business operations. It integrates with tax service systems, enabling the transfer of sales data and the generation of cash register receipts directly from the accounting system. All transactions are recorded instantly, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the transmitted data.
To participate in the pilot project, entrepreneurs must contact their local tax authorities. After notification of inclusion in the program, participants confirm their participation in accordance with the established procedure. Software installation is carried out by tax service specialists in conjunction with fiscal software operators.
Previously used cash registers are cancelled and deregistered.
