The State Tax Service has launched an online service for property tax

The State Tax Service under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has launched a new electronic service for automatic property tax assessment. The Taxpayer's Cabinet now features a ‘Tax Liabilities’ module that independently calculates the amount of tax based on official data from the State Cadastre Agency. This eliminates errors and saves citizens from having to enter data manually. After receiving a notification, taxpayers simply need to go to the portal cabinet.salyk.kg, open the module and select the ‘Pay’ button. Various payment methods are available, including QR code, payment code or bank cards.

The system also displays all the details: type of tax, district, amount, information about the property and the tax period.

The service generates calculations no later than 30 days before the payment deadline, which is usually 1 September. The main advantages of the innovation are time savings, accuracy thanks to cadastral data and the ability to pay instantly online.
