State-owned enterprise ‘Dan’ resumes operations following modernisation

The state-owned enterprise Dan is resuming operations as part of the ‘30+20+10’ project. Representatives from the Kyrgyzstan Department of Processing and Organic Agriculture have familiarised themselves with the enterprise’s operations.

At the current stage, the enterprise is undergoing modernisation with state support. In December 2025, the first production project was launched – the manufacture of pasta.

In the second quarter of 2026, it is planned to complete the reconstruction of a mill with a capacity of 150 tonnes per day. The modernisation is being carried out using Turkish technology.

Founded in 1975, the enterprise currently provides employment for 125 people and is regarded as a key component in the development of the processing industry.

During the meeting, issues regarding the simplification of public procurement procedures, the provision of modern equipment and the establishment of a laboratory infrastructure were also discussed.

It is expected that the implementation of these measures will increase production volumes and strengthen Kyrgyzstan’s food security.
