11/21/2024, 17:02The volume of services provided by hotels and restaurants in Kyrgyzstan for the period from January to October 2024 reached 34.7 billion KGS, which is 6.3 billion KGS (22% growth) more than for the same period of 2023 (28.4 billion KGS). Such data is provided by the National Statistics Committee.
The largest increase was noted in Bishkek and Chui oblast. In the capital, the volume of services increased by 4.04 billion KGS, reaching 19 billion KGS. In Chui oblast the growth amounted to 972.9 million KGS, the total volume of services exceeded 5.3 billion KGS. Also, significant growth was observed in Issyk-Kul region (growth of 431 million KGS or 42%), Osh region (growth of 270.5 million KGS or 19%) and Jalal-Abad region (growth of 116.7 million KGS or 5%).
Despite the positive overall trend, the development of hotel and restaurant business in different regions of Kyrgyzstan remains uneven. For example, Naryn and Talas oblasts have the lowest indicators. Thus, if in each region the volume of services of restaurants and hotels is more than 1.3 billion kgs, then in Talas region it is 440.8 million kgs, and in Naryn region it is only 440.8 millionkgs. Such a trend has been going on for years.
