08/27/2025, 14:48The Eurasian Economic Commission has decided to temporarily restrict duty-free imports of certain types of clothing from Vietnam. The reason for this is that import volumes have exceeded the limits set out in the free trade agreement.
Over the next six months, such clothing will be subject to normal customs duties, as are goods from other countries.
The EEC explained that this measure will help protect light industry manufacturers in the Union countries and prevent a sharp increase in cheap imports.
The decision will take effect 30 days after its official publication.
