09/26/2026, 12:38Kyrgyzstan has set a goal of providing affordable housing to all families in need by 2030. President Sadyr Zhaparov made this announcement at the opening of the “Asman Residence-1” housing complex in Bishkek.
According to the head of state, approximately 150,000–200,000 families currently need housing. The plan is to provide apartments to about 100,000 of them in 2026–2027. By the end of 2026, the country intends to complete the construction of more than 20,000 apartments.
Zaparov also noted the need to further increase the authorized capital of the State Mortgage Company, which, he said, currently stands at about $2 billion. By 2030, the company plans to expand construction in regional centers, small towns, and villages. Special attention will be given to renovating the housing stock, including homes built in the middle of the last century.
At the opening of “Asman Residence-1,” members of the security and law enforcement agencies received the keys to their apartments. The housing is provided through the State Mortgage Company under the “My Home” program.
Construction of the complex began in October 2024. It consists of 11 buildings and includes 1,050 apartments. The complex features playgrounds and 551 parking spaces.
