    The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has discussed key projects with the World Bank in Washington, DC

    As part of a working trip to the annual meeting of the Governors of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet Adylbek Kasymaliev held a meeting with the Executive Director of the World Bank from the Swiss group of countries Beatrice Mazer. The press service of the Cabinet informs about it.

    During the meeting, they discussed key projects aimed at the economic development of Kyrgyzstan, including financing the construction of Kambarata HPP-1 and budget planning issues. Kasymaliyev emphasised the importance of the Kambarata HPP-1 project for Kyrgyzstan's energy security and its significance for regional cooperation in Central Asia. He noted that this project implementation will provide the country with clean energy, create new jobs and increase the investment attractiveness of Kyrgyzstan.

    Beatrice Mazer confirmed the readiness of the World Bank to support projects aimed at the country's economic development, including Kambarata HPP-1. She noted the importance of the project for the entire Central Asian region, emphasising its contribution to strengthening regional energy security and sustainable development.

    The meeting also discussed the current economic situation in Kyrgyzstan, the implementation of public administration reforms and strategies to support green and inclusive growth. At the end of the meeting, Kasymaliev invited Mather to visit Kyrgyzstan, emphasising the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation with the World Bank.
