02/27/2026, 09:35The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has adopted a resolution on the establishment of the open joint-stock company Kyrgyz Satellite. The document was signed by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev on 23 February 2026.
The company is being established with 100% state participation. The authorised capital will be 100,000 KGS, divided into 100 ordinary registered shares with a par value of 1,000 KGS each. The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry has been designated as the founder and sole shareholder on behalf of the state.
According to the resolution, the new company will be engaged in the implementation of modern space technologies and the acquisition of aerospace images. This data is planned to be used for land resource accounting, environmental monitoring, climate change control, mineral exploration, as well as for the prevention and detection of emergencies.
The Karakol City Council, together with the relevant ministry, has been instructed to provide a land plot in the Issyk-Kul region for the company's facilities on a free-of-charge basis, with payment of utility and operating costs.
The Ministry of Finance has been instructed to allocate 100,000 KGS from the republican budget for the formation of the authorised capital, as well as to take into account the corresponding changes when adjusting the budget for 2026 and the planning period 2027–2028.
The resolution will come into force 15 days after its official publication.
