The Cabinet of Ministers launches a pilot project to monitor driving schools through the ‘Driving School’ system

The Cabinet of Ministers has submitted for public discussion a draft resolution approving a temporary procedure for conducting a pilot project on the accounting, management and control of training in driving schools. Discussion of the document will continue until 4 October 2025.

From 1 November to 1 May 2026, it is planned to introduce an automated information system called ‘Driving School’, which will record class attendance, including using Face ID technology, keep electronic journals and ensure transparent control of the training process.

According to the developers, serious problems have accumulated in the field of driver training, including low quality of training, the lack of necessary training and material resources in many driving schools, the work of instructors without the proper qualifications, and cases of ‘fictitious training’ when documents are issued without actually completing the courses.

The introduction of a unified digital system should eliminate these problems and improve the quality of driver training.

If the project proves successful, the Cabinet of Ministers will prepare a regulatory act on the permanent introduction of digital control over driver training throughout the country.
