How will passengers pay for travel in Bishkek from now on?

From 1 July 2026, a cashless payment system using electronic payment methods will come into effect on Bishkek’s municipal public transport.

Passengers will be able to pay using the ‘Tulpar’ transport card, Visa, Mastercard and ‘Elkart’ bank cards, as well as via QR codes and other electronic services.

For those without a ‘Tulpar’ card, it will be possible to purchase a single-journey e-ticket via Pay24 terminals. To pay, simply scan the QR code on the ticket using the validator on board.

Furthermore, when using the ‘Tulpar’ card, passengers will be able to make up to four free transfers within 60 minutes of their initial fare payment.
