What is Bishkek really like as a city? What Akchabar readers think

Akchabar's editorial staff conducted a pilot survey among its readers to understand how residents see Bishkek and what is important to them in the capital's urban identity. This was part of an initiative by the Bishkek Mayor's Office, which launched a large-scale survey to shape the city's brand. We have collected the first results and shared the outcomes.

Among the survey participants, the majority associate Bishkek with hospitality - the statement ‘Bishkek is a hospitable city’ was supported by 149 people. 146 respondents chose the option ‘Bishkek is a city of freedom’. 129 participants noted that Bishkek is flexible and open to change, and 92 respondents emphasized that Bishkek is a cosmopolitan city where people of different backgrounds and religions feel comfortable.

A total of 747 people took part in the survey from the editorial office of ‘Akchabar’. The Bishkek Mayor's Office is continuing the survey, and residents of the capital can continue to vote and share their opinions to help shape the city's brand.
