The planned activities for the Kambarinskaya HPP-1 construction project are being implemented consistently across the country. The Ministry of Energy has provided information on the current stage of the preparatory works.

This major infrastructure project is of strategic importance at both the national and regional levels and is considered the “project of the century”.

Preparatory work for the construction of Kambarata HPP-1 is currently underway. This includes the laying of power lines, the construction of a shift camp, a bridge, roads, and other activities.

At present, the following main works have been completed:

  • The concrete road from the 318th kilometer of the Bishkek-Osh highway to slot No. 2 (with a total length of 8.6 kilometers) has been fully completed, and the facility is currently undergoing acceptance testing.
  • Concrete road from gap No. 2 to the Kambarata HPP-1 intake (4.7 kilometers): approximately 4 kilometers (about 95%) have been completed;
  • TT-2 transport tunnel (length 126 meters): drilling and concrete work is 100% complete, the facility is undergoing acceptance testing;
  • 110 kV overhead power line and 110/6 kV substation: 11.5 kilometers of line laid, 25 supports installed, main work on the substation 90% complete;
  • Shift camp for 100 people (administrative building, dormitory, canteen, and auxiliary facilities): construction 60–70% complete;
